Lots of things have kept me from posting on here, so I'll add everything here now. Firstly, myself, Findy and Spiyre are nearing the end of our journey on Whitemage, Dragoon and Thief. 74 was attained a few days ago. It felt good, even though poor Spiyre had to solo the EXP for himself since the Ninja couldn't stay for an extra 1k. Annoying, but worked around. Spiyre got his Optical hat and Scorpion Harness, and looks rather amusing wearing them!

Not worked on Cooking like I should have, but I haven't had the heart (or gil!) to do it. When Spiyre hasn't been online me and Fin have been playing RAGNAROK online, so time on XI has been dwindling. I think it will change when we get into the next jobs we want at 75, however - Bard, Thief and Ninja. Our static may even grow! Shizuha and Hyushi may be in, which is awesome!

Bad day.

Really, really bad day. We set off today to do our Optical hat run, since myself and Findy need it. What happened was a total disaster - someone called for help on someone elses cluster, I ended up giving my own cluster to them. I felt too bad for the poor guy. Then, we managed to do his, perfectly. When it came to Fin's which was next, the stunners didn't stun and we all ended up wiping. 4 weeks of sweat, blood and toil down the Vana'Diel drain. Needless to say we were gutted. Not put off though. Someone is holding a cluster for me, till I make 800k to rebuy it and give it to Fin - he will get his hat.

I ended up going mining for a while afterwards, to try earn some of the 800k - some of it will come from selling Bynes from Dynamis (good luck to Thetallest, who got my Bronzepieces as a trade for his Bynes. I did this since General needs Bynes and he needed Coins... Complicated). But not before taking a shot of my MH. There, now you know where Xannie broods her days away while dreaming of songstresses and summoners. As well as Dragoons, obviously... The one thing that totally made my day yesterday, however, was during Besieged. Level 6 Mammy-Ja's, I was transfixed by something.

The frogs. Oh my goodness, they're so bloody cute. Little frogs in wizard hats. So a new beastman I'm infatuated with, I dread having to kill these little guys, though to be honest it'll be a little hard. I mean, inbetween me telling Spiyre over Linkshell (My screenshot folder was full, thats why I have a full screen by the way) since Findy was AFK, I found out a disturbing fact about these little blighters. I'm pretty glad they aren't as small as they looked on the first picture Squeenix posted of them, like the Fleas. These you can see, like Leeches. Plus their brightly coloured so thats another plus. But the thing I find really horrifying?

They can turn you into a Frog. I was raising someone when it happened. Another full screen picture I'm afraid. I don't think Spiyre and Findy quite believed me, but they certainly do now. I think its part of the charm they use, I'm not quite sure.. I wish it lasted longer though, I quite enjoyed being amphibious. Different to the Mage I usually run around as! If people do ever EXP off of these (which I doubt... But some people may try) that'll be fun. I got from 190 to 220 with Spiyre, on Lesser Colobri and Colobri in the next expansion areas. It was good fun, though I feel bad Spiyre used all his Ninja tools on me! Ever since I was a level 20 Whitemage, Hexa Strike has been the weaponskill I've wanted. I suppose any Whitemage wants it; with the correct gear on its amazing. Though I did ...148 to a Lizard near the Crag of Dem. Heh.

Dynamis tonight! Me and Findy missed the last one, so I hope we can complete this one. Should be great fun. Skype makes things easier with communicating in there since the Linkshell chat is always logged and the party chat goes by too quick.

Managed to get more spells for my Bard (and dig up some screenshots that wouldnt load on my previous entry) while we were hunting for the O-hat items. We still need to get the NM, but we do have the cluster! Hurrah! A good 4/5 weeks of getting items together and we finally have them. This seemed to upset some LS members so we ended up closing the door on our MadCapsules chapter, and opening up a new one... With MoogleAssassins. I somehow got blessed with shell leader, thats probably why theres only 5 in the shell right now. But a family takes time to grow.

Holding out for a hero.

Thats right, my little feathered football of love got retired. So she can have babies with LuckyComent, and because I need to start raising another. I can still call her using the chocobo whistle, but I do feel a little empty. Must be because I spent a whole month gardening and farming for her. I did get a plaque for my mog house which I'm proud of though, but the cutscene for retiring your Chocobo is really sad. I took lots of screens. If there are any typo's in this entry, ignore them - my keyboard decided to break down a few nights ago so I'm stuck with a rather nasty one which I'll decimate when I get a new one.

No Dynamis last night, made way for lots of loose ends to be tied up. I went mining in Ifrits Cauldron, along with Spiyre. Oh dear. Soon after zoning, we found a rather delightful NM. Wondering if we could possibly solo him, Spiyre looked him up on Allakhazam - Tyrannic Tunnok. No. We couldn't duo this guy. But we needed him dead, this beast dropped the V Claw we needed, for both Spiyres and Findy's Scorpion Harness. We've been doing KSNM runs for the claw to no avail, and after this I think we'll go back to it. We managed to enroll a 75 Samurai into helping us, Baudelaire. He brought a 72 Dragoon who had to leave, but she was just as up for it. This guy was amazing, up for it and stayed the whole time. Chot came as his Paladin 74 for the first fight, we got him to 5% before we wiped. This happened twice. Asking Aiden, our LS Paladin he aggre'd to come out, and Chot went back and changed to his Dragoon 75, which allowed me to get my.. Er.. Gear. I'd been doing the fights in mining gear which isn't that constructive really.

4 hours after initially finding the NM, we dropped him. With Dia, and a weaponskill from the Samurai since everyone else was dead. No drop. But it had changed somewhere, from being about the item, to being about dropping this guy for pride. It felt good, definatly the most enduring battle I've been in. Thank you for your help guys, I'll send out those IOU deathcards soon.

Nothing much else for today, thanks to Spiyre getting hold of Mage's Ballad for me I got my Bard to 25, was a great experience. I'm getting my spacings which is awesome.

72 and going strong!

Today me, Spiyre and Fin actually got to 72. Were all pretty hyped about that, it was fun getting there - I can say I got a level without a refresher in the party. Our Red Mage disconnected leaving us with 5 and we were still getting chains, I'm pretty proud of that. We accidently got a Black Mage Mammy-ja towards the end of the party which wiped me out since noone could land a silence, but it was good - someone came and gave me an R3 to keep my level.

I got my Chocobo Whistle today, I'm really psyched about that. RainDance can have babies now too, I'm gonna pimp her out to Findy's chocobo and make a RainDance jr. Of course I did try her out when I got the whistle, hence the used charge - she's actually, pretty normal. Some people got really sluggish chocobos, I'm glad mine isnt. I got three new additions to my equipment for White Mage this week, which I'm happy with. The water ring (left) is handy - I used it during Dynamis Jeuno last night and I was really pleased with the results, the MP I saved helped a great deal since me and the second White Mage in my party, Naiiya, didn't have a refresher. We did great considering we were down to 9 MP between us at one pull! Another piece is the Rainbow cape, I chose it over the Blue Cape simply for the MND +3. I have near on 900MP without food, so its not really a huge issue, especially in parties in the expansion area where I load up on Wizard Cookies to gain more MP between pulls. Spiyre is a great puller, he keeps us on our toes and managed to get us to 71 a few nights go!

Last piece is the Antivenom earring which is a must for Mages in the new areas. MP recovered while healing is awesome! I didnt do an assault to get this one, I bought it, but I plan on getting the Insomnia earring. Whether I buy that or do an assault for it who knows, were sorting out Assault statics at the moment and I don't know what to expect in one of those situations. Probably something along the lines of a BCNM? Comments explaining would be appreciated.

Between levelling we've been playing around in Besieged.. Do I really need to explain?;Good fun. I admit it was a little spooky being charmed, but hey. We were a 3 person killing team, everyone feared the White Mage with a stave. Not. I was one shotted soon afterwards, as I uncharmed and another player was charmed. Managed to get 300exp since it was only a level one, but it was good fun.

This week saw my Redmage getting to 25, under the watchful eye of Zilana of course. Findy's Ninja (Finja!) reached 25 too, only a few more tilly his Thief can come out and play. I have to say, seeing Zilana solo all the avatars really awoke a love of Redmage for me, Bengerbot and Zilly are tutoring me in the scarlet ways! That, and Findy really wants to see my character in the Redmage AF. It'll be odd after seeing myself in White Mage for so long. At least I wont have to invest in staves. We did try Fenrir again, but were wiped - our Ninja didn't have a Warrior sub, and I was midcast on buffs when the dog 2 houred. Benediction wouldnt go off. Luckily were going to redo it today sometime, I'll let you know how it goes - I really want Fenrir's Torque.

The project for the next few months, is getting Spiyre his Thief knife. We had a party in the temple, free striptease and alcohol to anyone that came. We didn't see Sozu pop the first night, but hey - we got time. Rome wasn't built in a day... That, and the drop rate for the knife is terrible. We all know a THF+1 needs his Thief knife. He can repay me when the time comes (hark, Profblix, can you hear me..?). Dynamis Jeuno went well - we almost had it cleared, 10 more minutes and we would have, things are getting much better - people are learning were a team. Naiiya is great - doing it for the same reasons I am, but once she gets the big 70 I'll make sure she gets lot on White Mage AF2. Its only fair!

The island time forgot.

As another small post for today, I told you I'd show you my new dat. Its my original model, but with longer hair. I think its looks fantastic, though I did have my eye on another that isn't up for download. I didn't do much else today.. Did some fishing in Al Zahbi waiting for a besieged to kick off (which it did, level 3 Mammy-ja's) which was quite interesting. (Forgive the screen.. I don't use the windower and don't really agree with it.) I got a good amount of Imperial Standing even though I was dead when it ended, but it was good fun. A sea of bodies without losing any EXP is generally good fun to laugh at anyway.

After that, me, Fin and Spiyre went camping some NM's for a few gil, before going on a mini adventure to my favourite place in the whole world (of Vana'Diel, anyway). The island is always so quiet, myself and Findy come here to think a lot of the time. Our place. That, and the area from the beginning movie, near the Safehold. I love it because noone runs around spamming things, you can go there for a little quiet time - and clamming. And fishing. And giggling at Spiyre battling against an Urganites regen. Good times, good times. Wont be the last time I pay a visit to my own little piece of paradise.

Long time no write.

Well, the weeks been pretty messy for Xannie, my minds everywhere. A close friend died, so I haven't had heart to write much. I've been into Dynamis a few times, we haven't completed it yet but on saturday we were pretty close. Findy got a piece of AF2, his Wyrm Greaves. He can't wait to get to 71 to wear them/macro them in. We have a static going now of myself, Findy and Spiyre for 70-75 so its all good. We've been playing around on Skype, now its much easier co-ordinating events like avatar battles, though some of the accents make me giggle.

We recently redid the avatar battles so that Zilana can go for Fenrir and so I can grab Fenrir's Torque which is a useful item for me on both White Mage and Bard when it gets that high of a level. On that note, I managed to get Bard to 24 and obtain Mages Ballad for the next levelling spree which impressed me. I love the job - not sure why. Fin's Ninja was also levelling up beside me for the time being, he's gonna take over on his Thief. I find it great fun being able to make a visable change in the way a battle is going. It was good seeing Zilana and Findy having a joke with each other - even though hate was everywhere. Two great friends as a Ninja and a Blackmage isn't a good thing!

And Xannie changed her dat files again. I'll let you see when I take some more screenshots.

Holy furballs!

Yep, Xannie got her purple puppy. It took a while to get used to him, especialyl since I got Summoner to 39 without him. I don't plan on taking Summoner further until I'm settled onto Whitemage merits, and with Carbuncle Mitts however. Isn't he cute.. Showing that Bee how much he loves it... I was suprised we came out of the Fenrir battle in one piece. Jillia, being the awesome tank she is was the one who made it solid for us, up until getting into the battle things were shaky - it was the day after Darksday and the Bard had to leave in minus 3 minutes. But we got him done, and I even caught Jillia on her Summoner today while levelling Beastmaster. Hurrah for the wolf!

Me and Findy also went to Sky, to help farm for a few God fights with Znozzy and his HNM linkshell. It was good fun, but I think a little too complex for me just yet. Once I've got a few merits under my belt I'll go for it properly, but until then I'll help out with the odd run, since I don't want to get lots on anything just yet. I'll earn them when the time comes rather than going at it like a newbie. While Findy was levelling his Thief, I decided to get my old pal Romi out.. Got him to 37 in Garliage which was good fun. Not quite sure why he's wearing chocobo riding gear.. Ask no questions I guess. Yes, I did manage to get a girly chocobo, RainDance is a little sweetheart and I love my feathered football of love. Just not the pricetag.

Another spare hour was given to Aiden, who wanted to get his Warrior AF done. Darkspark is a pussycat to a 75 Paladin (especially Aiden.. Best Paladin, ever.) He looked after me while we were there. Everyones really psyched about the Dynamis this Saturday - Aiden, Spiyre, Findy, and myself all going in there, with the possible addition of Znozzy and Metin. Great fun! Not too worried about getting my Cleric's Cap right away, though I do hope Wyrm stuff drops for Findy. Good luck with the master plan, Spiyre!

Goodness gracious...

Another week or so of me and Findy not being on, and we have a four week stretch coming up of constant XI playtime. Good fun. Last night we were tying up loose ends quest wise, and we also got the staging points we needed to do so all was good. Were now 5/5 on runic portals. The screen to the left, is me acting out some serious Lord of the Rings drama. 'Frodo, the ring!'. See, if I was there he wouldnt be missing a finger. That aside, Helberath also helped us get the avatars we needed (along with Teriminus too, thank you!) so we can now move on and get my purple puppy. Darksol also got his avatars, so congratulations to him too!

Aside from that, we've had a pretty easy week.. Though we plan to get me my Carbuncles Mitts at some point, which I'm looking forward to. The fight should be good fun. We also did the highest ever besieged I've done - level four. I havent been on enough to experience a level five one yet but it should be great fun!

A few good things coming up this week... Saturday night is my first ever Dynamis experience, luckily Aiden, Spiyre, Findy and Zilana are all there too. The LS is friendly, and since I was watching Findy do his first dynamis last Saturday.. It looks great fun. Reraise II for the win.

Another one bites the dust.

Since I forgot to post, before I scuttled down to see Findy last week, I'll post now. Zilana being the superstar she is, soloed Titan for us. It was good watching her go, well done Missus! Zadelia came along for the ride, and got to test Garuda out against the prime. Now I'm 3/6 avatars, which I'm pretty happy about. I had to unexpectedly go to Findy's house (family arguements, la de da. All sorted for now) and couldn't do the other avatars with her as she had them planned for the Saturday. Thursday was spent finishing up some quests we had laid around, including the Star Necklace quest which I'm happy about. Thankyou for the help Shifta!

We also managed to get Rank 6 complete which wasn't that much of a problem. We had originally planned to solo the mission 6-2, but a Summoner helped us after seeing us prepare outside the door in the tomb. Much appreciated! The skeletons linked after Findy got a little over-excited pulling (he's renowned!) so we fought all three. No problem, we took them down easily. It was fun watching the Summoner handle themselves, especially trying to keep the two people they were power-levelling out of the AoE range.

Last but not least, me and Fin spent a romantic night in the Dunes.. With him eating the sand a lot of the time. I managed to get 19 Beastmaster with Dhoffryns help (thank you thank you!) and we wrapped up there after trekking back to San D'Oria to finish up the mission (you have to wait 7 real life hours) which ended up being finished much much later.

Xindy and Fannie strike again!

Today was a riot, for the Linkshell. Malashi has decided to change jobs (good luck with Thief!), and some of the other users were in a giddy mood for much of today. Xannie and Findy were renamed! Now, careful since you may get confused. Xandora, is Xindy. Findecano, is Fannie. I think I'm used to my name already... Only kidding. I think the names will only last a day anyway. Maybe. On other news, we had a rather interesting day today. We got some EXP on Dragoon and Whitemage, to fill in some party gaps for Shifta and Deband who were on Redmage and Summoner. They did a great job - best Redmage and Summoner I've partied with in a long time (barring Zilly, of course).

After that ended, I was 13k into my level. Stodya decided he wanted to get Carbuncles Ruby, so off we went again with Bengerbot and Stodya. I, of course, got the leech with the drop. After some spanky-paddle fun which we wont get into.

Then, it was for the final set of the evening. The avatar primes we had planned. This was actually easier than I had planned with De on his Blackmage, Shifta on her Summoner, myself, Findy (Fannie?) and the super Paladin Aiden. Aiden died on Ifrit since he got hit for 1606 or roundabouts, but he was soon raised and tanking while weakened. 2/5 whispers obtained. As you can see by the screen, Aiden was trigger happy at getting to Ifrit. He's the small figure at the top of the ramp!

Congratulations on your Evokers ring, Shifta. Usually, not a problem. Today? Well, we found out what certain things aggroed to. It was good fun - thank you for trying Metin, and thanks for coming along Ayns. Me and Fin have 2/5 now, going to try another tomorrow night. Its probably easier keeping Findy in check that way. A few levelling sessions has brought it to 18, almost to Findy's level. Its been good fun, exploring areas I wouldn't have done normally - Buburimu, Carpenters Landing... Ayns' has given advice which has helped. The thing I enjoy most is that an entire party isnt relying on me - if I mess up is me face down in the dirt. Once the weekend is over however, Bard and Paladin are getting some much deserved attention. A few days a week will be given to Beastmasters, just because we enjoy them so.

A big thankyou to Hyushi and Celther, both who are static party members with my Bard, and Findy's Paladin. I worked on a job I haven't really touched before. Bard. To be honest, I love the job so far.. The Linkshell needed a Bard, so I guess I stepped up to take that place. Findy's currently undergoing Paladin lessons from Kiss and Aid, should be good fun. As soon as we hit 20 (which we hope to do in the next week or so, sharing time on the computer) we'll be free to level in Qufim. I haven't paid a visit to that place since my computer got sound, so that's going to be a big change for me. It was a long road to 70 last weekend, but I managed it, and was quite glad for Raise III too. The last few days have been lazy - cooking, and doing Besieged since thats turned out to be quite a bit of fun. I managed to scrape 1200 EXP from the ones I have done so far (only level 1 ones) and can't wait to try them out with Findy. I'm quite happy with my current MND status too, +39, which makes my stoneskin a little more tough. Now its just a case of waiting for a certain Dragoon to beat a certian old man, and then Summoner can have some attention.. After the prime fights of course.

Quests and cooking.

The past few days I've been tying up loose ends with Quests, so I can get my fame up for the avatar battles. Utsusemi got done, after much farming of Yagudo necklaces, as did Tonko. I was quite glad for the surge in income - its gone right back down again as I updated my White Mages gear to something a little more MND friendly. I gave the linkshell some attention over the past few days too, helping Spiyre with his Thief AF. That was entertaining, myself, Ayns, Spiyre and Metin against a bomb inside Garliage citadel. I was glad I didn't aggro as much as I did when I was level 30 - I dont think it would have been such a clear run otherwise.

I did delevel, due to under-estimating the Shadow Dragon in Xarcabard.. He got me. Its now 2-1 to the Dragon. Up went the EXP flag, for the first time I partied on Imps and doomed-like mobs. It was hard at first, but it got easier.. The only major draw back was when the RDM simply stopped responding (whether he had fallen asleep or was leeching I wont know) and the MP drained. 2 imps and 4 dead party members later, we dropped the RDM and picked up a BLM who was doing well. I did better than I thought, with having no refresher. Noone died, I managed to Silena everyone, and the EXP kept coming in. Unfortunatly I had to leave, due to my Dad reinstalling the internet.

Other little things I managed to do, were raise my Summoning magic up a fair way, and level my cooking to 61. I really have to start collecting guild points so I can make Findy his sushi, so I managed to go to the Guild every night before I log off these days. Yes, I have been playing with .dat files, under Findy's careful supervision.. No, I don't know how he did it.

A busy few days.

Well, during my levelling spree of BLU, to 10, I managed to get a few levels in for Romi too. My NPC has been neglected for a while, so it was good to scrape off the dust and level him for a while. I managed to attain Queasyshroom too, after duoing with another BLU to try get Sheep Song though we failed. Thank you for the help, Helpme. I'm finding BLU ever more interesting as my levelling of the job moves on, so I can definatly see myself levelling that to a higher level after the jobs I want to level are out of the way, such as Summoner and my faithful White Mage.

While levelling my fishing (level 5 now), I stumbled on some very shify looking Tarus.. Luckily they were in my LS, so all was well. After some chatting, I eventually got to catching the Moat Carp I needed, before logging off for the night. The following day, I managed to get BLM to 37 as a sub for my WHM - I'd tried levelling it a few nights ago but the party was slower than expected. I finally managed to get the two levels I needed today so I can put most of the BLM gear into my Mog Safe and leave it for a while (much to Findy's annoyance).

Last but not least, I got around to finally getting the Mycophile NM in Carpenters Landing for the Cuffs I could use on my SMN and for my BLM. He was a pussycat, and dropped the Mycophile Cuffs on the second spawn.

Adventures in Ronfaure!

After much fortune telling, I was recently given the Blue Mage job. This proved to be much fun when I was testing it in Ronfaure, the travelling aspect of the job makes me like it even more. Blue Mage is a definate levelling prospect after White Mage, along with Summoner and Red Mage. I like the fact the blades the job uses are much more femanine - the curved blades rather than the typical swords. I managed to collect quite an arsenal of magic while levelling; Footkick, Pollen, Sandspin, Power Attack, Sprout Smack, Wild Oats, Cocoon and Metallic Body (the longest spell to learn). My agenda for the next few days is Queasyshroom, Battledance, Feather Storm and Headbutt. The last three are earned from respective Beastmen, so that will involve travelling around.

Another new 'hobby' of mine besides fishing, is gardening. My moghouse has never really been useful, so I figured with Sushi coming up on my cooking, I may as well grow some Tarutaru rice to make it easier on the gil. As you can see, my moghouse has pretty much an earth element dominating. I managed to keep my lucky christmas tree in there, much to Findy's protests about storage space. Fishing is something else I have taken up, in hopes of at least one day being able to fish up some ingredients for my cooking. If you see me in Windurst with my trusty Carbon Rod and some insect paste, I'm probably swearing at my computer quite a bit.

The new LS members are great - I've been speaking with a few of them and they are great additions to the MC family. Congratulations to Deband for reaching 75, and to Demolama for beating Maat! I've seen thats pretty much luck, depending on what moves he uses against you.. Some people have really been struggling recently. I don't think anyone needs to worry after Findy tears him limb from limb like he's promised!

A land of danger.

Today was a day for Xandora, the White Mage, to trade in her shiny white pantaloons and get down and dirty in a subligar as a Beastmaster. You read it right. My Beastmaster currently stands at 9 now, the rabbits had no idea what was coming at them. The job itself is rather fun - I'm levelling it as a part-time job for myself and Findy (as his is 19) to turn to when Dragoon and White Mage have driven us over an edge somewhere.

I'm looking forward to levelling White Mage again however.. Its been at least 2 months since a levelling spree, and it shows. As I got a new computer (with sound!) I had to rearrange all my macros - now I'm on my toes. Black Mage will also be levelled some time this week, to 37 so that I can leave it there for a sub and to raise it later.

The linkshell is filled with new names, new faces... Currently, my computer is being used for Findy to camp Ose with some of the Linkshell, so that he can finally attain his Assault Jerkin.
